Characterization of ThMn_(12)-structure Stability

A series of YTi(Fe_(1-x)_(11)alloy with x=0.00,0.01,0.03,0.04,0.05,0.07 and 0.10 has been investigated by measurement of the structural properties and ~(57)Fe M(?)ssbauer experiments.The pure ThMn_(12)-structure phase exists at x≤0.03 and is absent at x>0.03.The reasons for lower satura- tion magnetization and lower energy product of the ThMn_(12)-structure compounds were given.The crystal structure relations between R_2Fe_(17)-structure and ThMn_(12)-structure were discussed.Comparing with the R_2Fe_(17)and R_2Fe_(14)B compounds,the ThMn_(12)-structure RFe_(12-x)M_x compounds have the same magnetic moment of Fe at x=0.The potential for increasing the saturation magnetization of ThMn_(12)-structure compounds may be enhanced by the addition of stabilization elements.

DEPT135测定Resol的组成及微细结构参数

通过对resol(羟甲基酚化合物和低分子量羟甲基酚树脂)DEPT135图谱的分析讨论,得到一系列计算resol微细结构参数的经验公式.根据DEPT135图谱可判断是否发生缩聚反应,根据经验公式可计算酚单体各个活性点参与反应百分率或酚羟基导入率、不同类型缩聚所占百分率及低分子量羟甲基酚树脂的平均核体数.

Two-step magnetization in a spin-chain system on the triangular lattice: Wang-Landau simulation

The Wang-Landau algorithm is used to study the thermodynamic and magnetic properties of triangular spin-chain system based on two-dimensional Ising model in order to understand the magnetic-order dynamics in Ca(3)Co(2)O(6) compound. The calculated results demonstrate that the equilibrium state of the rigid spins produces the two-step magnetization curve at low temperature even when the random-exchange term is considered. This work indicates that the four-step magnetization behavior observed experimentally must be due to the nonequilibrium magnetization.

The present paper summarizes the current status of high resolution elect;on microscopy ( HREM) and the applications of HREM to materials science and condensed matter physics. This review recounts the latest development of high resolution electron microscope, progress of HREM and the applications of HREM, including the crystal structure determination of microcrystalline materials and characterization of the local structure of the defects and nanostructured materials as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis of the grain boundaries, interfaces and interfacial reactions in the advanced materials by means of HREM in combination with electron diffraction, subnanometer level analysis, image simulation and image processing.

Frequency response characteristic of single-walled carbon nanotubes as supercapacitor electrode material

Impedance analysis was employed to study the frequency response characteristics of supercapacitors utilizing single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) as electrode material. The knee frequency is around 631 Hz for the electrochemically oxidized SWNT supercapacitor, much higher than that of the as-prepared one (around 316 Hz) and the common activated carbon supercapacitor (< 1 Hz). The good frequency response observed in this work is due to the introduction of nanosized mesopores and oxygen-containing groups formed during the electrochemical oxidization of SWNTs. The capacitance of electrochemically oxidized SWNT supercapacitor is 113 F/g, which is much higher than the value of the as-prepared one (20 F/g). (C) 2008 American Institute of Physics.

Preparation and Properties of a Novel Water Soluble Core Material

A novel water-soluble core material composed of polyethylene glycol, sodium chloride, mica powder and plasticizer was prepared. The compressive strength, bend strength, hygroscopic coefficient and the material solubility in water were investigated. The results show that the compressive yield strength of the soluble core can reach 1 MPa and the highest compressive strength can reach 4 MPa, the bend strength is as high as 6.65 MPa, the hygroscopic coefficient is lower than 0.22%/month and the solubility of suitable core material is 35.7-55.75 g/(min.m(2)). The wax pattern with undercuts was prepared successfully by using the novel water-soluble core material.

Calculating Method for Influence of Material Flow on Energy Consumption in Steel Manufacturing Process

From the viewpoint of systems energy conservation, the influences of material flow on its energy consumption in a steel manufacturing process is an important subject. The quantitative analysis of the relationship between material flow and the energy intensity is useful to save energy in steel industry. Based on the concept of standard material flow diagram, all possible situations of ferric material flow in steel manufacturing process are analyzed. The expressions of the influence of material flow deviated from standard material flow diagram on energy consumption are put forward.
